“Everyday, we are writing our story. We can choose to be a character in a story written by someone else or we can choose to be the author of our own story.”
Ruby Garcia, Today’s Inspired Latina Vol I
I Know What It’s Like to Feel Invisible.
To feel like no matter how hard you work, your contributions go unnoticed. To question if you belong in rooms you’ve fought so hard to enter. I’ve been there, standing in the shadows, wondering what it would take to be truly seen.
But here’s what I’ve learned: stepping into your power starts with transforming the way you see yourself.
Raised on a soundtrack of Los Bukis and Eric Clapton, I grew up navigating the in-between spaces of “ni de aquí, ni de allá”—neither fully from here nor there. As a first-gen Latina with a limb difference, I know what it’s like to carry layers of complexity and invisibility, trying to balance cultural expectations with professional ambition.
For years, I believed the stories I’d been told: work hard, stay humble, and your efforts will speak for themselves. But as I entered the professional world, I realized that playing small wasn’t the key to success, it was the fast track to being overlooked.
It wasn’t until I started unraveling the cultural and familial narratives that held me back that I discovered something powerful: The very things I thought made me “different” were the same things that made me a force to be reckoned with.
Turning Challenges into Leadership Power
My journey from feeling unseen to becoming an award-winning Leadership & Visibility Coach didn’t happen overnight. It took years of self-discovery, unlearning, and courage to show up fully as myself. Along the way, I earned certifications as a Hypnotherapist and Imposter Syndrome-Informed Coach, equipping me with tools to help others break through the barriers holding them back.
I’ve spent two decades leading teams in Fortune 500 companies and have been published in books like Today’s Inspired Latina, Hispanic Stars Rising Volume II, and The Latino Leadership Playbook. Now, I use my lived experience and expertise to empower high-achieving Latinas to embrace their full potential and amplify their visibility.
Your Story is The One You Write
I know the tension of living biculturally—being too American for your Mexican family and too Mexican for your American colleagues. I also know the courage it takes to rewrite the script, to lean into your authenticity, and to let yourself be seen for who you truly are.
Through my coaching, I help Latinas like you:
Conquer self-doubt and imposter syndrome
Own your voice and advocate for your worth
Build a personal brand that’s rooted in your cultural identity
Step into leadership with confidence and power
Because being visible isn’t just about being seen by others—it’s about truly seeing yourself.
When I’m not coaching or speaking, you can find me dreaming of my next Camino pilgrimage, cheering on the North Carolina Futbol Club with my two sons, or binge-watching K-dramas and novelas.
Life is too short to play small. If you’re ready to step into the spotlight and lead boldly, let’s connect. You have a story worth sharing, and I’m here to help you tell it.
¡Hasta Pronto!
